Quick Start

Overview
This guide explains how to set up the Klowra Mantra Dual Expression for use with Klowra Bloom Infinity series pedals. The connection and setup process is the same for all models in the series. The Klowra Limbo Reverb is used as the example below.
If you plan to use the Klowra Mantra Dual Expression with other devices, please refer to the user manual for the specific device.
Connection and Activation
Use the included 1/4” (6.35 mm) TRS cable:
-
Connect one end to the Mantra Dual Expression’s one of the EXP jacks (EXP 1 or EXP 2).
-
Connect the other end to the CTRL jack on the Limbo Reverb.
Once connected, the Limbo Reverb will flash red and automatically enter Calibration Mode.
*Tip: Always use a TRS cable. Using a TS cable may prevent the device from being detected or cause an incorrect control range.*
Calibration
After the connection is completed, the Limbo Reverb indicator will flash red, indicating Calibration Mode.
In Calibration Mode:
-
Move the expression pedal from Heel to Toe, then from Toe back to Heel.
-
Sweep through the full range several times so the unit can detect the minimum and maximum values.
After approximately 5 seconds, the device will exit Calibration Mode automatically. The pedal is then ready for normal operation.
Not working after calibration?
If the pedal does not respond correctly after calibration, try the following:
-
Unplug and reconnect the cable on both ends.
-
Confirm the Mantra Dual Expression is connected to EXP 1/2 and the Limbo Reverb is connected to CTRL.
-
Re-enter Calibration Mode and immediately perform several quick, full-range Heel ↔ Toe sweeps.
-
If the issue persists, try a different 1/4” (6.35 mm) TRS cable.
Expression control behavior and limitations
When an expression pedal is connected, it overrides the Ramp function and creates a continuous transition between Panel-Set and Snap-Set.
In this mode:
-
Ramp ATK and Ramp RLS are disabled.
-
Ramp cannot be triggered by pressing and holding the footswitch.
-
The Limbo Reverb is locked to the white LED state and cannot be switched to the orange LED state.
Direction Switches 1 and 2
These switches set the sweep direction (polarity) for EXP 1/2 :
-
( + ): Value increases when pressing toward Toe.
-
( − ): Value decreases when pressing toward Toe.
Note: Changing the direction only reverses the control behavior. It does not change the resistance value.
Connection examples
Single output (one channel):
You may set the Direction to either (+) or (−) based on personal preference.
Dual output (two channels):
Each channel can be set independently to create different Ramp behaviors. In the example below, EXP 1 is set to (+) and EXP 2 is set to (−).

When sweeping from Heel to Toe:
The pedal connected to EXP 1 transitions from Panel-Set to Snap-Set.
The pedal connected to EXP 2 transitions from Snap-Set to Panel-Set.
