Connection & Activation

This guide explains how to set up the Klowra Animus Dual Footswitch for use with Klowra Bloom Infinity series pedals. The connection and setup process is the same for all models in the series. The Klowra Limbo Reverb is used as the example below.

 

If you plan to use the Klowra Animus Dual Footswitch with other devices, please refer to the user manual for the specific device.


Connection and Activation
 

Depending on your output jack, use one of the following methods to connect to the Limbo Reverb:

 

  • TRS Jack: Connect one end of the included 1/4” (6.35 mm) TRS cable to the TRS jack.

  • A or B Jacks: Connect one end of the included 1/4” (6.35 mm) TS cable to the A or B jacks.

 

Next Steps:

  • Connect the other end of the cable to the CTRL jack on the Limbo Reverb.

  • Once connected, the Limbo Reverb will flash red and automatically enter Calibration Mode.

 

*Tip: Always use a TRS cable for the TRS jack. Using a TS cable may prevent the device from being detected or cause incorrect control ranges.*

Calibration


Calibration
 

Once connected, the Limbo Reverb indicator will flash red to indicate Calibration Mode. While in this mode, repeatedly tap all the footswitches on the Animus.

The device will automatically exit Calibration Mode after approximately 5 seconds, at which point it is ready for normal operation


Not working after calibration?
 

If the pedal does not respond correctly after calibration, try the following:

  • Unplug and reconnect the cable on both ends.

  • Confirm the Animus is connected to the TRS jack and the Limbo Reverb is connected to the CTRL jack.

  • Re-enter Calibration Mode and immediately tap all the switches on the Animus quickly and repeatedly.

  • If the issue persists, try a different 1/4” (6.35 mm) TRS cable.

TRS MAP Switches
 

Assigns the footswitches to the TRS jack contacts.

Settings:

  • T:A / R:B

  • T:B / R:A

(T = Tip, R = Ring)

Note: This switch setting does not affect the signals on the A jack and B jack outputs

Triple outputs:

Each output jack functions independently to utilize the special features of Klowra pedals.

In the example below, the TRS MAP is set to T:A / R:B.

With the Limbo (left)’s LED set to White and the Sprout (right)’s LED set to Orange:

  • Footswitch A simultaneously controls the RAMP of the Limbo and Everlast (center).

Footswitch B simultaneously controls the TAP Tempo of the Everlast and Sprout.
